Look Who's Back

I'm such a bad blogger! It has been way too long since I last posted on here, made a YouTube video, took pictures, etc. It's kind of pathetic because I know how important blogging is to me and how beneficial it can be to my future career.
School just started last week, so I'm trying to juggle schoolwork, homework, work, and other things I'm involved in. It's hard; I've never been this busy before, and I'm always tired. My regular Internet activities (blogging, vlogging, etc.) were basically pushed aside, but something one of my friends said to me last week basically woke me up.
My friend told me that while she was in Walmart one day, she saw some random girl (random as in "we don't know her at all") watching one of my videos. My friend didn't know I make videos, so when she saw the girl in Walmart watching one of my videos, she thought "Hey, that girl in the video looks familiar!" When she realized that the girl in the video was me, she started watching my videos too.
This really made me realize that what I'm doing on the Internet is not going unnoticed. People are watching my videos, checking out my blogs, and viewing my pictures (Whether everyone is actually liking/appreciating what I have to offer, or not, the point is: I'm being noticed, and I can make something out of this.) I'm progressing, slowly but surely.
So, the point of this long blog post was to let you-all know that I'm back in full effect. Let's get to business!

Some "lost photos".
I took these pictures in June, but after I took them, I decided that my outfit was too plain & ugly, and my face was just not looking right (neither was my hair), so I never posted them. But hey...I don't feel like taking any pictures right now, so I might as well post 'em!

black t-shirt, DIY giraffe printed skirt, silver spike bracelet, brown lace-up boots (My favorite shoes! I'm wearing them right now.)

Yes, I Do Go Thrifting in My Own Garage.

The Ultimate Thrift Haul video! Sorry it's so long. I had a lot of subjects to cover (and I talk too much). I wanted to show you-all all of my thrifted items before I started my DIYs on the them.

Exodus

I'm so lame for naming this post "Exodus". haha In literature class we learned that the last scene, the exit, of  Greek plays is called Exodus, if I remember correctly. I named this post Exodus because today was the last day of school. Heck Yeah!! I'm going to miss my friends so much during summer break; we had some good times, but I'm so ready for this vacation.
I plan on looking like a whole new person next school year. Basically, I want my outside (appearance) to match my inside (personality). I want dark blue hair (I don't even care anymore that people think red/pink hair will look better on me. I want blue hair, and that is what I am going to get.) because even though I'm kind of "girly", I'm also very bold, daring, and I do love some attention from time-to-time. I want a color like this:

Jeannie Mai

I want my hair to be a little bit past shoulder-length, layered, and straight with side-swept bangs.
I also want some piercings and tapers because my style is edgy, and I just like how they look and the "vibe" they give off. I may get some fakes ones because my parents are unnecessarily strict. I want a septum, a monroe, and/or snakebites.

Tapers

The picture below really inspired me. They look good, and those piercings are hot (that's why I need some. haha)!

For the first time, getting a lot of new clothes during back-to-school shopping isn't that important to me. This year my priorities are getting colored hair and piercings before school is back in. I'm doing my own thing next school year, and I don't care if people don't like it. I don't care what they think. I'm going to do what makes me happy! :)
Let's just hope all my plans work out fine because I'll be sooo disappointed if they don't!

I've Been Doing Sew Much

I started taking sewing classes a few months ago. Finally! I've wanted to take sewing classes for years now; I've always wanted to bring my ideas to life. The classes really annoyed me at first. After a long, boring, long, annoying, and did I mention long? day of school, sewing was the last thing I wanted to do. On top of that, I'm sort of a perfectionist, and when you're learning something new, being a perfectionist really doesn't help. It took me forever to do everything! My slowness really annoyed me, and even though she has never really said anything about it, I'm pretty sure it annoyed my teacher too. Now that I have a little bit of experience and I've been practicing more at home, my sewing has gotten much better and faster. If I keep this up, I might be a pro (or something close to that) by the time I graduate. No, scratch that. I'm not going to be a pro at sewing by the time I graduate, not even close. If I keep this up, I'll be pretty good at it by the time I graduate.
Here are some sewing projects for beginners that I've completed so far:
  • Sewing Bag (large bag) and Notions Bag (small bag)

  •  The rope I bought was a little bit too big, so the bags are kind of hard to open. I spent my own money on both the fabric and the ropes though, so I don't plan on throwing the ropes out to buy new ones. I'm keeping both of these bags on my wall; they're the first things I've ever sewn from scratch, so I want to cherish them forever, and I don't want them to get messed up.

  • Shoulder Tie Purse

  • My inner-hippie made me immediately fall in love with the fabric on the outside of this purse. My teacher said I also had to get a contrasting fabric (it needed to match the outside of the purse in some way) to go on the inside. I couldn't find anything else, so that's where the tacky, inner-fabric came from. I'm waiting until summer vacation before I wear this bag because I think it'll look best with summer attire (swimsuits, shorts, sandals, etc.).

  • Cloth Napkin

  • I made this cloth napkin at home using the big ol' ugly roll of fabric my dad got from one of his construction job sites. I'm probably going to use this cheap, tablecloth-lookin' roll of fabric to sew like...everything I make at home. I'm too poor to buy any new fabric to mess around with! haha

A Little Too Cool for School

School is finally coming to an end, and I couldn't be happier! We have two more weeks left until summer break. Those last two weeks of school will consist of review, make-up work, finals, and a lot of movie watching (we don't have that much to do).
I thought I was going to hate my life so much this school year. I moved for the first time in 14 years! The people I went to school with last school year were the same people I went to school with when I was in kindergarten; I grew up with those people, so it really sucked that I had to leave them. I'm surprised at how well this school year went though. I met a lot of cool people, made a couple of really good friends, and had fun. I met Emannuel a few weeks ago. He's so cool, unique, and fashion-forward. We took a couple of photos together on Thursday. His camera is pretty amazing, don't cha think?

I didn't plan on writing this post. It's not well-thought-out or anything; I'm just writing. I don't even know how to end it...I guess I'll just say bye.
Bye! :)
